Week 3 Part A: Aesthetics, Design and Branding

 https://www.pennyjuice.com/

I choose the Penny Juice website and a potential problem for the viewer of this website might be, when clicking on the website there is a lot to look at and digest all at once. This website is also very colorful which either could be a good thing or a bad thing for the viewer. another potential problem for the viewer might be, the pictures. The pictures are nice and high definition on the home page but when clicking on the childcare juice link the pictures look a little less high definition and this could make the website look a little less professional. Another potential problem might be, how "cheesy" it looks to the eye. It is a brand targeted towards children but it should also look professional because they are selling a product. It should look fun but maybe a little more professional in the way the website is formatted. This website does not look professional to me. It could use more neutral colors to make it look less messy and more effective to the viewer. I believe that the pictures are all over the place and could maybe be used less and they could improve on the quality of the photos of the actual juice instead of the images of kids. It is nice that they have their social media linked but maybe they could have smaller, more effective links in the upper left corner of their social media to improve the traffic to their social media. They could also improve on having more social media because it can reach a wider audience.

https://jamilin.com/

I choose the Jamilin website and the potential problems for the viewer could be, the horrible formatting and chaos the website is to the eye. If a viewer were to click on this website they would probably think it was a scam and quickly click away. Another potential problem for the viewers might be, the text and pictures are mixed together so it could become hard to digest what she is trying to convey and it would also be hard for the viewer to find where to buy the products she is trying to sell. Another problem might be, just how old it is. It looks like it hasn't been updated since 2017 so once the viewer or potential consumer comes across this page because they want to buy something that will probably make them exit quickly and find another, more professional website, that is also up to date. This website does not come across professionally because of the overwhelming home page. It makes it hard to focus on one thing at a time as a viewer. Lots of things can be improved. For example, there could be a lot fewer words and pictures on the home page to make it so much easier to digest.

https://www.apple.com/

I choose the Apple website and the things that this website did right were making the home page easy to digest for the viewer and also right away promotes one of their products. Another thing they have done right is having easy to access tab at the very top of the website leading potential consumers to buy the product they are interested in. I think this website comes across as being professional because it has easy access to everything on the home page and the photos are very high definition. Aesthetic, design and branding impacts the consumer's reaction to the website because it means that the brand is most likely very professional and will most likely persuade the consumer to want to buy the products from their website instead of another website.

https://www.toyota.com/

I choose the Toyota website and the things they did right were colors. They choose red and white and it looks professional and put together. Another thing they did right was promoting a car right as you click on the website which is something that Apple did as well and it helps guide the consumer in the right direction. Another thing they did right was, have easy to navigate tabs to click on if you are looking for certain information. This website did come across as professional because of the easy to use website and the information directly on the home page. The use of design, aesthetics, and branding impacts the viewer's reaction to their website because it shows professionalism and the fact that the website is well put together means the company is probably doing well and people are buying their products.

  1. Hi Clare! I believe you made some great points about pennyjuice and also about how professional Toyota and Apple are. I came up with similar points as well.
